New information about Covid-19 vaccinations is becoming available every day. For the most up to date information see here.
PLEASE DO NOT TELEPHONE THE SURGERY TO ASK ABOUT APPOINTMENTS FOR THE COVID-19 VACCINATION.
Where and when will I get my Covid vaccination?
Only selected groups of patients are going to be vaccinated at the surgery. The majority of patients will NOT be vaccinated at the surgery – these patients will receive an appointment from the Health Board to attend for their Covid vaccination elsewhere.
Who can receive their Covid vaccination at the surgery?
We have now started to invite patients who are aged 80 and over to have their Covid vaccination at the surgery.
We are not able to give all patients over 80 an appointment yet because we have not yet received enough doses of vaccine at the surgery.
Please do not phone the surgery to ask about an appointment for yourself or your relative – we will contact you just as soon as we have a dose in stock for you/them. We have no control over when the vaccine is delivered to the practice but are not expecting there to be any shortage of vaccine.
Please be assured we are doing everything we can to vaccinate our most vulnerable patients as quickly and safely as possible.
Be prepared for your Covid-19 vaccination – what should I do now?
In order to receive the Covid-19 vaccination, it is essential that all patients (or their representative, where the patient is not able to understand the reasons for having the vaccine) have read the information booklet BEFORE they attend for their appointment. The booklet provides important information about how the vaccine works, why it is important, how it is given and common side effects. The booklet can be viewed online here.
