We are delighted to announce that from Wednesday 29th July 2020 a new service is being launched which enables your local pharmacist to prescribe a wide range of medication for common problems, without you needing to see a doctor. This service is available to ALL patients and is free of charge.
Pharmacists are able to assess and treat the following conditions:
- Acne
- Allergies (patients over 1 year old)
- Athlete’s foot
- Back pain
- Conjunctivitis (patients should contact their optometrist first)
- Blocked or runny nose
- Cold sores
- Colic
- Constipation
- Cough
- Cystitis/Urinary tract infection
- Diarrhoea
- Dry eyes
- Dry skin
- Earache
- Haemorrhoids (piles)
- Hay fever (patients over 1y old)
- Headache
- Head Lice
- Impetigo (patients over 2y old)
- Indigestion (patients over 12y old)
- Mouth ulcers
- Nappy rash
- Pain
- Period pain
- Ringworm
- Scabies (patients over 2y old)
- Scalp disorders
- Sore throat
- Threadworms (patients over 2y old, not pregnant or breastfeeding)
- Vaginal thrush (patients between 16 and 60 years old)
- Oral thrush (patients over 4 months old)
- Warts and Veruccae
